On behalf of the German Jordanian University (GJU) President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli , the Vice President, Prof. Malek Alsharairi, inaugurated the activities of the free medical day for the local community in Naour District and Madaba Governorate. The event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) with the participation of public service and pharmaceutical engineering clubs.

Dr. Alsharairi indicated that the medical day embodies the university's message and its role in serving the community and achieving the meanings of social solidarity, expressing his thanks and appreciation to all parties that contributed to the success of the day.

In addition, Dr. Alsharairi pointed out the importance of the solidarity of all the governmental and private institutions of the country in presenting these humanitarian initiatives and their continuation in a way that reflects the benefit to the local community.

The medical day was represented by the Saudi Hospital, Saraya Eye Center, GC Medical Laboratories, Medlab, Dar Al-Dawa and International Pharmaceutical Companies, Newton Insurance, Rawhi Pharmacy, and Al-Issawi Dental Center, including clinics for women, children, orthopedic, internal, thoracic, eyes and teeth, free medical examinations and nutritional advice.

It also included the distribution of free medicines and vitamins to approximately 700 beneficiaries, in addition to providing a dental and eye health care program for about 150 students from the schools surrounding GJU.
