The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, Dean of Student Affairs, and Eng. Ahmad Arabiat, along with the President of the Student Parliament and a number of students interested in political engagement, participated in the launch ceremony of the comprehensive study released by the Politics and Society Institute (PSI) titled “Student Activism in Jordan: A Gateway to Political Modernization” within PSI’s project, “The Generation of Modernization.”

Described as a key pillar in advancing democratic transformation and political modernization, the study combines historical, comparative, and field-based analyses, examining the role of student activism within Jordanian universities in promoting democratic engagement. It also seeks to assess the current state of student unions and movements and explore pathways to strengthening youth political participation both on and off campus.

This participation comes as part of the Deanship’s ongoing efforts to support research and dialogue initiatives that shed light on youth and student issues and enhance their active role in the national landscape.
