Second-year students in the Department of Architecture and Interior Architecture at the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the German Jordanian University (GJU) have achieved a notable academic accomplishment by presenting outstanding projects that reflect a high level of creativity and architectural awareness. The projects aimed to integrate architecture with artificial intelligence applications under the supervision of course instructor Eng. Rawan Khattab.
This project was designed to develop students’ skills and enhance their understanding of how renowned architects approach building design, in addition to exploring various architectural classifications, strengthening awareness of architectural identity, and learning about construction materials and their applications. It also focused on integrating these concepts with artificial intelligence tools, contributing to expanding students’ perspectives and strengthening their critical and creative thinking abilities.
The projects were evaluated by a panel of distinguished academics, experts, and practitioners from various Jordanian universities, alongside professional engineers and alumni of GJU. This step reflected a strong integration between academia and industry, enriching discussions and enhancing the alignment of educational outcomes with labor market needs.
As part of promoting academic and cultural exchange within the university, a number of selected projects were presented to the International Office in the presence of the Dean of the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Dr. Omaimah Al-Arja, and the Director of the International Affairs Department, Dr. Jennifer Gronau. This initiative supports interfaculty collaboration and strengthens academic and cultural engagement among students, contributing to a more integrated and diverse educational environment.
This achievement comes as a result of the continuous support provided by GJU, and its commitment to fostering a motivating academic environment. Students emphasized that this support plays a fundamental role in developing their skills and enhancing the quality of educational outcomes, while preparing them to meet the demands of the labor market.
