Students, Dana Koreek, Rama Alghzawi and Shatha Khrewesh, from the School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management (SNREM), at the German Jordanian University (GJU) discussed the graduation project titled "Converting Shawarma and Falafel Oil into biodiesel" under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Energy Engineering, Dr. Mustafa Jaradat.
During the study of the project, they produced fuel inside the university laboratories. They also programmed a device for the production of organic fuel, which is supplied with used oil. This device then adds special chemicals, heats the mixture to the necessary temperature, stirs it and completes the production process with high accuracy.
