A student team from the German Jordanian University (GJU) has proudly secured third place in the MotionSense AI Competition, organized by the IEEE ComSoc & SPS Joint Chapter in collaboration with MathWorks.
GJU participated with five teams in the competition, with an outstanding four teams advancing to the finalist stage. The challenge focused on developing innovative applications and websites powered by Artificial Intelligence models for human activity recognition.
The winning team, “Inceptix”, supervised by Dr. Mustafa Al Shawaqfeh, included students Layan Darwish, Karmel Al Qawasmi, and Leen Alfityani. Other participating teams were supervised by Dr. Abdullah Alfarrarjeh, Eng. Salem Alwarawreh, Eng. Lina AlZaatreh, and Eng. Dima Zeidan.
This remarkable achievement reflects the high caliber of GJU’s students and the university’s commitment to providing world-class, applied education in AI and engineering.
