Under the patronage of Professor Ala’aldeen Alhalhouli, President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) successfully organized the Industrial Partnership Conference 2025 from October 28–30 at GJU’s main campus in Mushaqqar.

The conference brought together industry leaders, academics, technology experts, and entrepreneurs from Jordan and abroad, including several partners from Germany, to discuss innovative approaches for enhancing collaboration between universities and industry and advancing applied innovation.

A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of the new HADI PLAST GmbH Laboratory, a state-of-the-art facility designed to support research and practical training in modern manufacturing and polymer technologies, reinforcing GJU’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and the industrial sector.

In his opening remarks, Professor Alhalhouli underscored the vital role of university–industry partnerships in driving innovation, applied research, and sustainable economic growth, praising DI-TECH’s initiatives in building real collaboration opportunities for GJU students and companies.

Dr. Fathi Alarabi, Vice Dean of DI-TECH, emphasized that the conference reflects GJU’s mission of integrating theory with practice, adding that such events pave the way for joint research projects, industrial collaboration, and entrepreneurial ventures that foster innovation and development.

The conference agenda included thematic sessions on industrial innovation, technology transfer, digital transformation, and sustainability. It also featured laboratory tours, matchmaking sessions between companies and GJU schools, a networking dinner, and student innovation and club showcases that highlighted the creativity and talent of GJU’s students.

The event concluded with fruitful discussions and strategic planning for future joint projects and expanded cooperation between GJU and its industrial and academic partners from Germany and Jordan, reaffirming the university’s leading role as a bridge between education, research, and industry.
