The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted Dr. Abbas Al Maharmeh, former Mayor of Sahab, to meet with university students and share his experience and achievements in the town, including service and development projects.
Al Maharmeh is an inspiring and supportive community activist, focusing his efforts on empowering youth and achieving positive change.
Al-Maharmeh spoke to the students about the importance of having a clear vision and believing in the capabilities and initiatives of young people, demonstrating with practical examples how Sahab Youth Initiatives have contributed to implementing development projects, improving infrastructure, and providing essential services to the community.
He also emphasized the importance of implementing community initiatives to enhance effective participation, noting his commitment to organizing workshops and seminars aimed at raising citizens' awareness of the importance of participating in decision-making and empowering them to contribute effectively to public life.
An interactive dialogue took place between Al-Maharmeh and the students, where they exchanged views and ideas on ways to enhance the role of youth in serving the community and implementing sustainable development initiatives.
