The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), in collaboration with the Google Developer Group (GDG) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), organized an introductory lecture to highlight the club’s activities, initiatives, and its growing impact across Jordan and the Middle East and North Africa region.

The event was attended by Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, Dean of Student Affairs, who emphasized the importance of active student participation in university activities and its role in shaping their personalities, enhancing their life skills, and enriching their academic experiences.

During the session, the GDG team delivered a presentation showcasing the benefits available to club members, including access to events, workshops, and internationally recognized certifications that help them stand out in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. The presentation also introduced hands-on opportunities such as hackathons, seminars, collaborative projects, and guidance on earning free Google certifications.

The lecture also featured the announcement of the first-ever GJU-CTF competition to be hosted at the university, as well as details about the upcoming Hackathon Reboot 01, which will take place in November. The team explained the competition’s conditions, registration process, and the prizes available to participants.

Through its initiatives, the GDSC at GJU aims to inspire creativity, bridge the gap between theory and practice, and provide a platform for students to become part of a global network of innovators and future leaders in technology.
