A group of students from King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence in Madaba visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) to learn about the Energy Smart Mediterranean Schools Network (ESMES) project, run by  GJU and funded by the European Union and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. (ENI CBC Med).

The Dean of the The School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management (SNREM), Dr. Qasem Abdelal, and the project coordinators, Dr. Zakariya Dalala and Dr. Osama Saadeh, welcomed the students. They introduced the participants to the energy efficiency contest among nine public schools in Jordan.

The students were introduced to the university's programs and the laboratories of SNREM.

Furthermore, a training workshop was conducted on handling monitoring systems, auditing energy consumption, and the basics of renewable energy systems.
