The German Jordanian University (GJU) has announced the launch of the third edition of its annual GJU 3030 Competition for the year 2026 under the theme “Future Technology.” The competition will be organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in April and will feature two tracks, one targeting school students from Grade 9 to Grade 12 and the other targeting university students across the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, stated that this annual competition reflects the University’s deep belief in the importance of developing the capabilities of school and university students and refining their skills in line with the rapid transformations in technology and innovation. She explained that the competition seeks to promote entrepreneurship and creativity, encourage critical thinking, and inspire students to develop innovative solutions to future challenges. It also provides an interactive platform that enables participants to present their ideas and projects and exchange expertise.

This year’s competition covers several fields, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, Robotics and Drones, Cybersecurity, Sustainable and Green Technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), and the Future of the Architect/Designer in the Age of Automation, in addition to other future-oriented technological topics, allowing participants to propose emerging and interdisciplinary technological ideas beyond the stated themes.

Each school and university may nominate up to three projects to participate in the competition. Winning students will receive valuable cash prizes, in addition to certificates of appreciation for all participants. The project exhibition and awards ceremony will be held at the end of April, and participation in the competition is free of charge with no registration fees required.
