The Library team at the German Jordanian University (GJU) visited Amman International Book Fair 2022 to increase communication and cooperation with publishing and distribution houses participating in the exhibition and secure book supplies through direct purchase.

During the visit, a variety of Arabic and English books were selected in the subjects of architecture and design, Arabic literature, novels, translated world literature, administrative and technical sciences, in addition to a set of educationally and linguistically oriented stories for children, in preparation for the launch of the children’s corner in the library for the use of employees children.

The Director of the Library, Prof. Haytham Thawabih, indicated that book selection depends on plans and studies prepared by its Supply Division besides the needs and suggestions of faculty members.

He added that according to library plan 2022/2023, new sets of academic books that cover the needs of academic departments and new disciplines would gradually be increased along with electronic information vessels (e-books) and paper information containers.

The visit was attended by Dr. Thawabih, Assistant Director of the Library, Miteb Al-Hkeish, Head of the Supply Division, Ansaf Abu Duaij, and lecturer at the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE), Tasneem Alomari.
