Under the patronage of the Vice President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Professor Iyass Khader, the Jordanian Family Library Exhibition 2025 was inaugurated today on campus as part of the 19th Reading for All Festival, in cooperation with the Madaba Directorate of Culture.
The exhibition will run for five days and aims to promote a culture of reading and encourage the community to benefit from knowledge in all its forms, contributing to cultural awareness and the building of an informed and educated society. It features a wide range of books and references in scientific, literary, cultural, artistic, and poetic fields, as well as specialized books on heritage, Jordanian, Arab, and Islamic studies, thought, civilization, Arabic literature, and children’s stories—meeting the needs of all community segments.
During the opening, Professor Khader emphasized the importance of this event, which aligns with the university’s mission to support knowledge, cultural openness, and community service. He noted that such initiatives contribute to enhancing reading habits and deepening awareness among students and members of the local community.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohammad Al-Rawahneh, Director of the Madaba Directorate of Culture, Mr. Laith Al-Nasser, Director of the University Library, the library team, and several members of the local community.
