Raya Fasha has been elected as the first president of the German Jordanian University Student Parliament, marking a historic milestone for the institution. Her election followed the formal oath-taking ceremony held in the presence of the University President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli.
In her remarks, Fasha emphasized the Student Parliament's commitment to setting a benchmark for other Jordanian universities. "Our unified vision is to elevate the German Jordanian University as a model of excellence. I am honored to lead the board that will oversee and guide this process. I feel a profound sense of responsibility to the council, the student body, the university, and our country," she stated.
Fasha highlighted the board’s approach to governance, which includes active listening, collaborative brainstorming, and diligent work. "We aspire for our efforts within the Council to positively impact our peers. I encourage all students to hold us accountable. The role of the Council is not merely a position, but a service dedicated to fostering meaningful change," she added.
