He emphasized that raising youth awareness and reinforcing the values of belonging and loyalty constitute the first line of defense against extremist ideologies, rumors, and disinformation campaigns. He also stressed the importance of verifying information sources, fostering critical thinking, and upholding national values.
He further noted that young people represent the cornerstone of nation-building and the preservation of Jordan’s security and stability. Therefore, empowering them with knowledge and awareness is essential to confronting rapidly evolving intellectual and media challenges, in line with the vision of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army to prepare a conscious and responsible generation.
The lecture witnessed strong engagement from students at GJU and the participating universities through the visual communication system. Retired Major General Dr. Saleh Al-Ma’aytah answered students’ questions in a discussion characterized by openness and depth, reflecting their keen interest in intellectual immunization and the role of youth in safeguarding national identity and strengthening social cohesion.
