The Road Safety Center of Excellence (RSCE) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in the International Road Safety Congress that was held on 15 and 16 October. The congress was organized by the Turkish National Police Academy.

The center participated with a paper titled, "Evaluation of Traffic Education Programs for Universities' Students in Jordan," written by its Director Eng. Muhammad Al-Far.

Al-Far stated that the Congress aimed to establish a platform of new researches to study what was done in the field, related disciplines and collaborate with colleagues from different parts of the World.

About the paper, Al-Far added, the paper discussed and evaluated the current educational and training programs to which students at Jordanian universities receive since they constitute a primary group of drivers on the streets of Jordan.

Moreover, the paper provided a group of recommendations to enhance the current program, including unifying the content of the existing road safety elective courses and introducing compulsory modules, in addition, establishing road safety clubs through the deanships of students affairs to encourage students to engage in research projects related to road safety.
