The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, organized a specialized training program titled “The Free Youth Course” from September 25 to 27, 2025, at the Mövenpick Hotel – Dead Sea, with the participation of 24 students from various majors.
The program featured intensive training sessions and interactive discussions led by distinguished experts, including 180 Degrees Consulting, GJU alumnus and entrepreneur Omar Alami, and economist H.E. Dr. Yousef Mansur.
The course aimed to equip students with a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and free-market mechanisms, while also developing their skills in preparing business proposals. It further introduced them to different economic models such as planned, mixed, and the social market economy that combine market freedom with social justice.
The program included entrepreneurship workshops, practical training on designing and implementing business proposals, lectures on supply-and-demand mechanisms, and discussions on global economic case studies from countries such as Germany, Austria, and the Scandinavian region. Students presented their projects and shared knowledge summaries on these models in an engaging and interactive environment designed to foster critical thinking and innovation.
At the conclusion of the program, students were recognized and awarded certificates, reflecting the joint commitment of GJU and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation to supporting and empowering Jordanian youth with the tools needed for active contribution to economic and social development.
