The GJU School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEIT) held its annual meeting on September 11–13, 2023, hosted by TH Fulda. Attendees included representatives from Jordan, such as Dr. Dhiah el Diehn Abou-Tair, Dr. Abdullah Alfarrarjeh, and Eng. Samira Khraiwesh, as well as key figures from TH Fulda and other German partner universities.

 

Opening remarks were delivered by TH Fulda representatives and GJU Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Reiner Finkeldey, who joined online to discuss recent changes at GJU. Updates on student statistics, new academic tracks, and course analyses were presented by Dr. Dhiah Abou Tair and Eng. Samira Khraiwesh. Challenges related to increasing student numbers were addressed in discussions led by network head Dr. Rainer Herpers from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.

 

Highlights included the introduction of a new Design and Media Informatics program by Dr. Abdullah Alfarrarjeh and insights from alumni sharing their experiences in Germany. The meeting concluded with plans to expand partner networks, accommodate growing student numbers, and organize a second meeting to refine strategies for new academic tracks.
