A delegation from the School of Nursing at the German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by Prof. Wolfgang Raab, Medical Director at Prosper Hospital in Recklinghausen, Germany, and participant in the Flying Faculty Program at the School of Nursing, accompanied by Dr. Mohammad Alzaatreh, Germany Year Liaison Officer at the School, visited the Specialty Hospital on October 15, 2025.
The visit aimed to familiarize Prof. Raab with the healthcare system in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and to learn about the training sites used by GJU nursing students. It provided an opportunity for him to explore the clinical environment and practical training methods adopted in Jordan, and to compare them with those applied in Germany, within the framework of academic collaboration between the two sides.
During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Tareq Al-Louzi, General Director of the Specialty Hospital; Dr. Mahmoud Abu Obaileh, Medical Director; and Mr. Mustafa Al-Abbadi, Director of Nursing.
The visit concluded with a field tour of several nursing and clinical departments, where Prof. Raab expressed his admiration for the high quality of healthcare services and the supportive training environment available for GJU nursing students, which enables them to acquire practical skills aligned with international standards before their study year in Germany.
