The German Language Center (GLC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a welcoming meeting, “Freshmen Event,” for students enrolled in German Language Course I, with the participation of around 550 students and members of the German language teaching staff. The event aimed to introduce new students to the “German Dimension,” one of the key pillars of studying at GJU.
During the meeting, Jacqueline Rogler, Head of the German Language Center, together with Bele Günther, German I Coordinator, and Eman Al-Senwar, Student Advisor, delivered an introductory presentation about the German Language Program at the university. They outlined the curriculum, which focuses on developing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in preparation for mastering the German language.
Rogler also highlighted scholarship opportunities available to students and shared practical study tips to support effective German language learning.
The event witnessed active engagement from students, who were given the opportunity to ask questions, participate in discussions, and receive guidance and support.
In the same context, several GJU students shared their experiences in the intensive program designed to help students reach the B2 level in German, emphasizing that the program significantly enhanced their language proficiency within a short period.
The meeting concluded with a film produced by Eman Al-Senwar and Mosab Al-Kurdi, documenting the experiences of GJU graduates during their academic year in Germany, where they shared personal stories and valuable advice for new students, highlighting the opportunities provided by the strong partnership between GJU and German institutions.
