
The German Language Center (GLC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a welcoming meeting “Freshmen Event” for new students in the German Language Course 1, with the participation of around 450 students and members of the German Language Faculty. This event aims to introduce new students to the "German Dimension" at the university.
Jacqueline Rogler, Head of (GLC), provided valuable insights into the German Language Program, explaining the curriculum which focuses on developing language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, in preparation for students' academic year in learning the German language.
Rogler, along with the Student Advisor Eman Al-Senwar, discussed scholarship opportunities and shared valuable study tips on successful methods for learning the German language. The students were given the opportunity to ask questions, discuss, and receive assistance.
In a related context, students Tala Al-Jubouri and Nawaf Abu Shareef presented an overview of the accelerated program for the B2 level, sharing their experiences in advancing to a higher level of language proficiency within an intensive time frame.
The meeting concluded with a film produced by Eman Al-Senwar and Mosab Al-Kurdi, which documented the experiences of university graduates who shared their personal stories about their academic year in Germany, offering valuable advice for new students, and highlighting the opportunities provided by the strong ties between the German Jordanian University and German institutions.
