The Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized the university’s 13th Annual Career Day, aimed at strengthening connections between GJU students, alumni, and a diverse range of local, regional, and international companies. This year’s event featured participation from over 70 companies.

In his opening remarks, attended by Assistant Secretary-General for Operations Mr. Abdullah Al-Jbour, representing the Minister of Labor, GJU President Prof. Dr. Aladdin Al-Halhouli emphasized the significance of this event as one of the university's key annual initiatives. He highlighted GJU’s vision of becoming an innovative university that empowers students to create employment opportunities through innovation. Prof. Al-Halhouli also noted that GJU is transforming into an incubator for business and entrepreneurial projects, supported by regulations and systems that foster initiatives by students, alumni, and university staff, with backing from the Deanship of Innovation.

Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawreh, Dean of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship, explained that the deanship aims to link innovation with employment by training students in leadership skills to prepare them for prominent roles in their future workplaces. He noted that GJU focuses on graduating students with skills demanded by today’s job market, facilitating the shift from traditional education to active, hands-on learning in partnership with the private sector.

Mr. Al-Jbour expressed the Ministry of Labor’s appreciation to GJU and all participating national institutions that contribute to creating job opportunities for job seekers. He emphasized that such collaborations play a crucial role in reducing unemployment rates and enhancing economic development.
