During the meeting, which was held within the framework of the MOU signed between the two universities through the Deanship of Scientific Research (DSR), in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Excellence, Prof. Iyas Khader, along with several deans, Prof. Al-Halhouli emphasized the German Jordanian University’s commitment to exploring cooperation opportunities with the Asia Pacific University. He noted the university's readiness to showcase its academic capabilities and explore ways for joint collaboration.

The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, discussed with a delegation from the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Malaysia, consisting of the Director of Quality Management and Rankings, Mr. Nur Zahdi Aldin, and the Director of the Institute of Strategic Research, Prof. Mohammad Falahat Nejadmahani, the prospects of partnership between the two institutions in the areas such asjoint scientific research, improving university rankings, organizing scientific conferences, and student and faculty exchange programs, in addition to other initiatives that benefit both sides.
For his part, Prof. Falahat expressed his happiness with this meeting, pointing out that the university, which previously focused on teaching, has recently s shifted its focus toward scientific research and academic publishing, with particular emphasis on innovation and sustainability, especially in the areas of deep learning and the impact of electric vehicles.
He also clarified that there is an ongoing research project in Uzbekistan focused on studying the integration of electric vehicles into the national energy grid, in collaboration with APU Malaysia, this project has the potential to serve as a model for implementation in Jordan through a research alliance that includes GJU, some partner universities, and APU.
For his part, Mr. Zahdi Aldin, the Director of Quality Assurance at APU, confirmed that Jordan is considered one of the university's strategic partners. He emphasized the importance of expanding academic and research collaboration between the two universities to contribute to achieving their shared goals, both locally and internationally.
In turn, Prof. Rami Al-Azrai, Dean of DSR at GJU, explained that his previous visit to the APU revealed many commonalities between the two institutions, particularly in the fields of cybersecurity, mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence, and business administration. He also praised APU’s model in marketing innovations, where it succeeded in turning many student projects into commercially marketable products.
