
As part of their ongoing efforts to enhance professional and practical skills in the local market, the German Jordanian University (GJU) and the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) have announced the launch of specialized training programs in Human Resources Management and in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, aimed at strengthening workforce capabilities in key sectors.
During the launch event, Dr. Lena Abu El-Haija, Director of the Consultation and Training Center at GJU, emphasized that the collaboration with the Amman Chamber of Commerce represents a significant step toward strengthening the relationship between the academic and private sectors. She highlighted that this partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing the skills needed to meet modern economic challenges. Dr. Abu El-Haija added that GJU is dedicated to providing a modern training environment aligned with labor market needs, believing that these programs will help equip professionals to meet evolving challenges in the fields of Human Resources and Logistics.
For his part, Mr. Ghaleb Hijazi, Director General of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, reaffirmed during the event that the Chamber remains committed to developing human resource skills in the commercial and service sectors, in response to the evolving demands of the local market. He explained that these training programs are aimed at enhancing participants’ competencies in key areas, with a primary goal of boosting operational efficiency and elevating workforce performance in line with modern practices in Management and Supply Chain operations.
This initiative aligns with the strategic vision adopted by the Amman Chamber of Commerce to strengthen cooperation with leading academic institutions in the Kingdom. The goal is to align training with labor market demands, thereby enhancing human resource efficiency and boosting institutional competitiveness in Jordan.
The launch event, which garnered significant interest from professionals and stakeholders in the commercial and service sectors, was attended by Mr. Osama Al-Hanandah, Assistant Director at the GJU Consultation and Training Center, and Mr. Bashar Muqbel, Deputy Director General of the Amman Chamber of Commerce.
