The delegation from the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), led by the Head of the Department of Applied Research and Scientific Cooperation, visited the German Jordanian University (GJU), During the visit, they met with Prof. Rami Alazrai, Dean of Scientific Research (DSR), and Dr. Fadwa Dababneh, the Director of The Technology, Research, and Innovation Park (TRIP). The official visit aimed to explore opportunities for strategic cooperation between the two institutions.

The visit also aimed to: develop joint research projects with potential for industrial and commercial application; establish clear guidelines for managing joint intellectual property; explore mechanisms for creating startups based on the outcomes of collaborative scientific research; and promote technology transfer and the exchange of expertise in advanced technical fields. Furthermore, it sought to establish a clear legal framework for the protection and commercial utilization of joint patents.

The delegation toured several of the university's leading specialized research laboratories and reviewed its advanced technical capabilities and research infrastructure.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the pivotal role of this partnership in supporting the knowledge economy and achieving Jordan’s vision for a shift toward innovation and local manufacturing.

It is worth noting that this visit is part of GJU's ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with national research and industrial institutions, and to translate scientific research outputs into practical solutions that contribute to the development of the national economy and drive innovation in the Kingdom.
