The German Jordanian University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Flan Tech LLC, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and connecting students with the labor market through training opportunities within the startup ecosystem.

The university was represented by its President, Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, while the partner company was represented by its Co-founder and COO, Mr. Majdy Miqdady. The event was also attended by Dr. Nidal Alshawareh, Dean of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) at the university, and Dr. Hamza Al-Majali, Director of the Career Guidance and Graduate Follow-up Office at DI-TECH.

This MoU aims to establish a collaborative framework between the two parties, focusing on the development of community initiatives, facilitating practical training opportunities for the GJU students, and supporting scientific research and technology transfer. Through this partnership, Flan Tech LLC will work in collaboration with the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) at GJU to provide training opportunities for students within startup companies, and to organize workshops, seminars, and training programs aimed at building student capacity and enhancing their entrepreneurial skills.

Both parties affirmed their mutual commitment to supporting a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem that brings together students, professionals, and entrepreneurs, and offers opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange. The memorandum also emphasized the importance of community engagement and the role of entrepreneurship in supporting economic and social development in Jordan.
