A student delegation from the Department of Energy Engineering at the School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management (SNREM) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) visited the Rehab Power Station as part of a scientific field trip. The visit provided an opportunity to closely observe the operational mechanisms of one of the most prominent electricity generation stations in the Kingdom.
The visit was supervised by Dr. Yacoub Al-Khasawneh and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Jaradat, and aimed to enhance the students’ practical understanding and bridge theoretical knowledge with field experience, thereby contributing to their readiness for the job market and improving their competency in the energy sector.
During the tour, students learned about the vital role of the Rehab Power Station in supporting the national energy system, promoting sustainability and reliability, and addressing the challenges facing the energy sector, as well as future development opportunities.
The supervisors expressed their gratitude to the station’s management for their warm reception and valuable cooperation in sharing expertise and knowledge with the students, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in preparing a generation of engineers capable of contributing effectively to a sustainable energy future in Jordan.
