With enthusiasm and great commitment, 1,148 new students took part in GJU's German pre-course from September 7 to 18 and from September 21 to October 2, 2025. The course not only offered participants the opportunity to make their first contact with the German language, but also to make new friends and get to know campus life at GJU.

To ensure personal support and an optimal learning environment, the pre-course was divided into 54 sections, taught by experienced teachers from the German Language Center (GLC) together with teaching assistants (TAs) from higher grades. This team-based approach not only supported classroom learning but also helped new students gain valuable insights and tips for everyday student life.

At the end of the program, the TAs received their certificates during a small ceremony. Jacqueline Rogler, Director of the GLC, and Bele Günther, Coordinator of the Pre- and German I courses, thanked the participating students, lecturers, and coordinators for their great commitment and wished everyone a successful start to the new semester.
