The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in cooperation with the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering Club (PCE) on the 26th of October, organized an awareness lecture on the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October).

The session was delivered by representatives from the Jordan Breast Cancer Program at King Hussain Cancer Center as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness among its students and community, and to spread the culture of early detection as an effective means of prevention and treatment.

The lecture highlighted the latest statistics on breast cancer in Jordan, discussed the factors that may increase the risk of developing the disease, and provided a detailed explanation of self-examination methods and regular screening procedures that contribute to improving recovery rates. It also addressed psychological and emotional support for cancer patients and emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of preventive health and self-care.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants’ questions were answered, and informative brochures were distributed on breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection.
