The German Jordanian University (GJU) is proud to announce the launch of a new research project funded by the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST). Led by Dr. Ahmad B. Albadarin from the Department of Pharmaceutical & Chemical Engineering at the School of Applied Medical and Scientific Sciences (SAMS), the project focuses on advancing sustainable municipal solid waste management in Jordan.

The initiative aims to provide a comprehensive characterization of municipal waste, evaluate various treatment technologies, and develop a decision support system tailored to the country’s specific needs. By collaborating with key governmental, industrial, and research partners, the project seeks to strengthen circular economy practices and support evidence-based environmental planning.

This initiative adds to GJU’s ongoing high-quality research and innovation efforts, highlighting the University’s commitment to impactful, industry-relevant, and community-focused research. The project will also increase visibility for sustainable practices and reinforce alignment with GJU’s innovation and sustainability objectives.
