The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) - Sports Section at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized the University Championship for student teams, featuring seven sports: Basketball, Badminton, Ping Pong, Football, Chess, Beach Volleyball, Strength and fitness.
During the first semester, the Sports Section, led by Dr. Zeyad Al-Zoubi, collaborated with a team of elite coaches to select athletes through interviews and tryouts across various sports.
Over two months of intense competition, the student teams participated in a series of matches and tournaments concluding in the final championships.
Dr. Farah Al- Atrash, Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized that these events showcase the exceptional athleticism of GJU students while nurturing essential values such as teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. She congratulated all participants and encouraged them to maintain their dedication and hard work both on and off the field.
Awards, including cups and medals in a festive and enthusiastic atmosphere were presented to the champions in the presence of Dr. Al- Atrash, Vice Dean Dr. Ghath Al-Refai, Dr. Al-Zoubi, coaches, DSA team, and the enthusiastic students.
It is worth mentioning the participation of student Abdullah Abu Bakr in his first refereeing experience in the Chess Championship for male and female students.
