The German Jordanian University (GJU) is participating today, Monday, in the activities of LEAP 2026, one of the world’s leading technology and innovation conferences and exhibitions, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with broad participation from academic and technology institutions, global companies, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world.
The university’s delegation is headed by GJU President Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, who is taking part in the conference’s activities and meetings as part of the university’s efforts to strengthen its international presence, expand its network of partnerships with academic, technology, and industrial institutions, and explore new opportunities for cooperation in innovation, research and development, and technology transfer.
GJU’s pavilion at the conference serves as a platform to showcase its experience in applied education, research, and innovation, highlight its leading projects and initiatives in technology, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer, and promote opportunities for cooperation and partnership across various sectors.
Representing GJU at LEAP 2026 are several of the university’s centers, units, and projects, including the Technology, Research, and Innovation Park (TRIP), the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), the EDU-SYRIA project, the EJIM project, and Nexus Nature, reflecting the diversity of the university’s ecosystem and the integration of its efforts to support innovation, develop skills, and connect knowledge with the needs of the labor market and industry.
Prof. Al-Halhouli emphasized that GJU’s participation in LEAP 2026 aligns with its vision of internationalization through the strength of partnerships. He noted that the university seeks to transform its international relationships into active and impactful partnerships that contribute to advancing education, research, and innovation, while creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and graduates.
He added that the university’s model, based on applied education and partnerships with the public and private sectors, enables the creation of effective bridges between education, scientific research, industry, and the labor market. He also stressed the importance of keeping pace with the rapid developments in technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, and preparing skilled professionals capable of shaping the future.
GJU’s participation in LEAP 2026 provides an important platform for engaging with investors, technology companies, academic institutions, and innovation centers, while exploring opportunities for cooperation in research and development, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, skills development, and joint projects.
