The German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), launched the Orientation Day today at the main campus in Al-Mushqar, coinciding with the start of GJU Tech Summit 2026 Week. The event provided an interactive and welcoming atmosphere aimed at introducing new students to university life, encouraging their engagement in student activities, and familiarizing them with the opportunities available to develop their skills and nurture their talents.

The event featured broad participation from student clubs, national institutions, community organizations, and the DSA sections. Through interactive booths, participants showcased their programs and services, giving students the opportunity to explore the clubs’ activities and register to join those that best match their interests.

On this occasion, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Al-Batayneh, highlighted the importance of the event in helping new students begin their university journey with confidence and discover opportunities for active participation in campus life. He noted that the university experience extends beyond academic learning to include personal growth, skills development, talent discovery, relationship building, and fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility.

He added that the Deanship is committed to providing a supportive and engaging university environment where students can express their interests, develop their abilities, participate in activities and initiatives that enrich their university experience. He also emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for students to learn, interact, and collaborate, enabling them to become active contributors to campus life.

34 student clubs participated in the Orientation Day, presenting live demonstrations of student-led innovations and software and engineering projects. The event also featured health awareness activities, language competitions, cultural and recreational activities reflecting the diversity of the GJU community. The sports corner attracted considerable student interest through physical challenges and interactive games. In addition, dedicated booths for the Student Parliament and the Media Team introduced students to opportunities to engage in university life and contribute through student representation, photography, and media coverage.
