The German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by Prof. Osama Saadeh, Dean of the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), participated in the 7th International Innovation Dome Forum, held in Amman under the theme “The Age of Intelligent Decision -Making: How Artificial Intelligence Is Reshaping Governments and Businesses.”
The forum was held under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Mazen Al-Qadi, Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament, and brought together prominent officials, experts, academics, and representatives of government institutions and the business sector from Jordan, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates.
The forum focused on the role of artificial intelligence in advancing decision-making processes, accelerating digital transformation, and enhancing the efficiency of public and private institutions. It also highlighted the importance of building effective partnerships between universities and economic sectors to support innovation and achieve sustainable development.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Saadeh emphasized the importance of moving beyond the mere adoption of artificial intelligence technologies towards leveraging them to generate tangible and meaningful impact. He noted that the success of these technologies should not be measured solely by their widespread adoption, but also by their ability to improve decision-making, increase productivity, and create genuine economic and societal value.
He further noted that the true value of artificial intelligence lies not in the technology itself, but in how it is applied to address real-world challenges and deliver measurable outcomes. He also stressed the importance of integration between universities and the public and private sectors in transforming knowledge and scientific research into practical solutions and innovations that contribute to sustainable economic development.
GJU's participation reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen its ecosystem of innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship, while expanding its partnerships across various sectors. These efforts reinforce the University's role in supporting technological transformation and translating knowledge into tangible economic and societal impact.
