This project serves as a department research interest, it allows professors to search for Academic categories of his department and navigate to their subcategories gaining information about these academic categories which are of interest to the professor or to a specific department, also the system can be updated to allow the professor to navigate into categories of other departments (when the academic categories of other departments exist in the system).
Categories may be main or sub category for other categories in the same time, which means a Category may be main for a set of sub categories, and a sub category for another category, but for each department there will be categories which are the main of all categories and cannot be sub categories of others, which means they are the main of all categories in that department.
The project also shows year statistics of most searched categories of a department, the statistics will be about each department main Categories, the statistics will show different year statistics of most searched topics for a specific department, these searched topics are the sub categories of the department’s main Categories.
