On Thursday  29th of March, a delegation from the German Jordanian Society visited GJU under the leadership of former GJU Vice President Prof. Dr. Anton Mangstl.

The delegation received a warm welcome by the President Prof. Dr. Manar Fayyad before receiving a briefing on current affairs at the university by Vice President Prof. Dr. Dorit Schuman.

In the following Q&A session the delegates had the opportunity to gain further insights into the university from Ms. Britta Kähler, Director of the Office for Industrial Links, Prof. Dr. Christine Hildebrandt, Dean of the School of Applied Humanities and Languages as well as Dr. Mohammed AlAddous and Dr. Ala’Aldin Al Halhouli introducing various research areas at the university.

During the following campus tour the delegation had the opportunity to gain further insights into the Biogas and Nano Labs and were impressed with the state of the art equipment used for research and teaching.

The German-Jordanian-Society and GJU are linked by a long-standing friendship and fruitful cooperation following the common goal of furthering ties between the Hashemite Kingdom and Germany. Over the years members of the German-Jordanian-Society have supported GJU in finding internships and providing industrial links.
