It will support Jordan’s ambition to become a regional energy hub and create the capacities necessary for a successful and timely energy transition whilst simultaneously support employment and economic growth. In the future, the format shall be optimized and implemented on a larger scale to include other countries in the MENA region.
This project is one of the projects within the Jordanian-German Energy Partnership and supported by the German government through funding from the International Climate Initiative (IKI), implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The project is a collaborative project between several partners; in addition to GJU, Al-Hussein Technical University, the Electric Training Center of the National Electric Power Company, the Amman Chamber of Industry, the German Federal Solar Association (BSW-Solar), and Ideas into Energy.
This project is the latest of a series of projects and activities that testify to the dedication of GJU and its schools to empowering local communities and building their capacities.
