Project Description:
This project is part of the Energy Academy of Germany and Jordan is to become a unique training facility to upskill technicians in innovative and sustainable energy technology. It will support Jordan’s ambition to become a regional energy hub and create the capacities necessary for a successful and timely energy transition whilst simultaneously support employment and economic growth. In the future, the format shall be optimized and implemented on a larger scale to include other countries in the MENA region. This project is one of the projects within the
Jordanian-German Energy Partnership and is managed by GIZ.
The project is a collaborative effort between several partners; in addition to GJU, Al-Hussein Technical University, the Electric Training Center of the National Electric Power Company, the Amman Chamber of Industry, the German Federal Solar Association (BSW-Solar), and Niuversity Global.
This project is the latest of a series of projects and activities that testify to the dedication of GJU and its schools to empowering local communities and building their capacities.
This project is financed by the GIZ as commissioned by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
