The Project Management Office (PMO) serves as a central hub for the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of projects and strategic initiatives at the German Jordanian University (GJU). Bringing together the experience of the International Projects Office (IPO) and the University’s strategic projects and initiatives, the PMO provides an integrated approach to managing projects that contribute to the University’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
GJU is committed to contributing to the socio-economic development of Jordan and the region, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange, and strengthening its position as a leading university in an increasingly competitive and technology-driven world. Achieving these ambitions requires not only strong ideas and partnerships, but also effective project management and the ability to translate strategic priorities into tangible results.
The PMO supports this effort by providing guidance and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This includes supporting project planning and development, facilitating proposals and partnerships, coordinating agreements and contracts, and providing project teams with the administrative, logistical, and organizational support needed for successful implementation. The Office also supports the monitoring of strategic projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with university priorities, effective use of resources, and achievement of intended outcomes.
In addition, the PMO promotes collaboration and coordination across GJU and strengthens relationships with international universities, funding agencies, industry, and other external partners. By bringing international projects and university strategic initiatives together within one framework, the PMO aims to improve coordination, maximize opportunities, and enhance the impact of GJU’s projects.
As Director of the Project Management Office, I look forward to working closely with our faculty, staff, leadership, project teams, and partners to strengthen our project management capabilities and support the successful delivery of initiatives that advance GJU’s strategic vision. Together, we can transform opportunities and priorities into meaningful projects, measurable outcomes, and lasting impact for the University and the community we serve.
