Dr. Rula Allaf is an associate professor of Industrial Engineering at the School of Applied Technical Sciences. She holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, an MSc and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan and Texas Tech University, respectively. Rula chaired the IE department for two years (2019-2021). She is a Fulbright Alumni, with several academic honor awards, such as first in class, Golden Key International, and Phi Kappa Phi. Her teaching and primary research interests are in the field of materials science and engineering. Specifically, in the development, characterization, and optimization of recyclable and biodegradable polymeric products. However, she also teaches process automation using PLCs, applied statistics, and engineering economics.
