Dr. Rula Allaf
Dr. Rula M. Allaf is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at the German Jordanian University, where she also served as Vice Dean of the School of Applied Technical Sciences for one year and as Head of the Industrial Engineering Department for two years. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University, where her dissertation focused on a novel fabrication approach for biodegradable scaffolds for tissue engineering. She earned her B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, graduating at the top of her class, and an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan. Her doctoral studies were supported by a Fulbright scholarship, and she was elected to Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Dr. Allaf’s research interests include materials characterization and manufacturing process optimization, with a focus on recyclable and biodegradable polymeric products. She has published work on porous polymeric films, eco-friendly membranes, composites, and nanomaterials, and contributed a book chapter on scaffold melt molding technologies.
Alongside her research, Dr. Allaf is actively engaged in teaching industrial automation, applied statistics, materials science, and engineering economy. She values her role as an educator and mentor, working to support the development of future engineers in Jordan.
