Project Description:

The project aims to support Jordan’s transition towards sustainable energy solutions by developing a practice-oriented academic program focused on renewable energy technologies. It addresses national challenges related to energy dependency, limited resources, water scarcity, and the need for qualified professionals who can contribute to sustainable and climate-friendly development.

Through cooperation between German Jordanian University and Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, the project focuses on designing a renewable energy study program that combines scientific knowledge, practical skills, and innovative teaching approaches. It aims to strengthen teaching capacities through competency-based methods, project-oriented learning, experimental laboratories, and collaborative teaching formats.

The project includes curriculum development, pilot courses, staff training, and student and faculty exchange activities, including formats such as summer schools. By integrating applied learning and industry-oriented education, the initiative seeks to enhance graduates’ employability, strengthen university–industry links, and build capacities in renewable energy fields that support Jordan’s sustainable energy transition.
