Zobia Trail- 21 December 2024
The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the Camping and Hiking Club, organized an adventurous hike for students to the Jumanji Jungle along the Zobia Trail.
30 students participated in this adventure, where they covered the 10-kilometer trail. Along the way, they enjoyed the lush forest views and the diverse natural beauty of Zobia, known for its dense woodland featuring trees such as oak, hawthorn, and especially the grand oak. Situated at one of the highest elevations in Irbid Governorate, Zobia stands at approximately 940 meters above sea level.
At the end of the hike, students experienced setting up tents, hammocks, and a campfire, during which they prepared meals and relaxed in the fresh, clean air.
Notably, the club collaborated with the Nursing Club to ensure the safety of participants. A skilled and experienced paramedic, equipped with first aid supplies, accompanied the group to address any potential emergencies.
