Project Description:
This project aims at introducing Data Literacy to relevant stakeholders at GJU and supporting them in developing a concept for introducing key competencies in curricula at GJU. A consortium meeting at the beginning of the project with invited external experts will start the discussion of Data Literacy competencies and approaches against the background of GJU study programs, digitalization efforts, and strategies to define specific needs. Several workshops will take place in Jordan to define and concretize the Data Literacy education concept for GJU. Specific sessions are reserved to discuss the inclusion of Data Literacy related terminology in the technical German curricula of different study programs. A final dissemination event allows sharing the concept of Data Literacy for Higher Education in Jordan with relevant Jordanian stakeholders. Data Literacy Education aims at conveying relevant competencies to students, and therefore student activities play a key role in the project.
All project activities were funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) from funds of the German Federal Foreign Office (AA).
