Project Description:

This project aims to carry out practical projects in Jordan, the Palestinian Territories, and Germany in order to work out in an intercultural comparative way how the concepts of leadership and advocacy in social work and nursing can be understood, implemented and thus improved accordingly.

Throughout the project:
  • The partner universities shall offer joint courses on leadership and advocacy, primarily for Master's programs in social work and nursing, that are appropriate to the local context.
  • Students and early career researchers shall gain further qualifications in the context of professional and methodological cooperation and acquire intercultural skills.
  • Regional teaching and research networks with universities from one or more partner countries shall be established with the involvement of social work and care managers.
  • A curriculum on “University discourses on leadership and advocacy” is to be developed, and shall consist of five training modules for competence development.

This project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) using funds from the German Federal Foreign Office (AA).
