This course introduces students to practical tools and emerging manufacturing technologies that are shaping the future of industry. It emphasizes automation, digitalization, and the integration of information technologies into modern manufacturing systems. Students will learn to design products for manufacturing using both additive and subtractive techniques, such as 3D printing and CNC machining. The course also covers advanced cutting technologies (e.g., laser cutting) and electronic assembly (e.g., circuit board fabrication). Additionally, students will design a digital twin to simulate and analyze a physical system.
