It is often argued that democracy requires “democrats” to flourish, and become well established. Democrats are those women and men who recognize pluralism, inclusion, positive engagement, and participation as the main values that govern their interaction with the state as citizens and with each other as diverse people of different interests. In this course you will be able to understand your rights and responsibilities as Jordanian citizen, expand your knowledge about the frameworks, and processes that regulates citizen-state relationships as will as the basic necessary skills for you to practice your citizenship rights in a civic manner.
