Project Description:

This project aims to provide vulnerable Jordanians and Syrian refugee youth with Career Guidance and Counseling (CGC) and vocational training courses in Products design and 3D printing, Carpentry and decorations (Wood carving), and Plastic machinery operating (Injection/ Hydraulic).

The project is part of the Special Initiative for Stability and Development in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region. It has adopted a three-fold approach towards helping young and vulnerable Jordanian youth and Syrian refugees take greater advantage of employment opportunities in skilled crafts. It does this by:

  • Working with partner institutions to improve the quality and accessibility of vocational training in skilled crafts
  • Providing young Jordanians and Syrians with career guidance and counselling services
  • Improving cooperation between private and public stakeholders through the strong collaboration with the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (Zentralverband des deutschen Handwerks, ZDH)

This project is financed by the GIZ commissioned by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
