Project Description:

The aim of this DAAD-funded project implemented in cooperation with Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW), is to qualify and network students and young academics through professional and cultural exchange within the topic of Resilience in Times of Crisis through an international summer school in Jordan

The aim of the summer school with a diverse workshop programme was to create a basis for future academic cooperation in the field of social work with a thematic focus on “resilience in times of crisis” from a transnational perspective. In addition, the summer school pursued the intention of recruiting students and doctoral candidates for study and/or research stays in Germany.
Intercultural competencies were addressed through diversity training to be able to deal with cultural differences and misunderstandings competently and thus prevent frequent drop-outs abroad. Information about Germany as a place to study and research, and in particular about HAW Hamburg, was conveyed in daily events and through the exchange of personal experiences.
