Bashaer Al Nour Association conducted a training course for two days as part of an advocacy and lobbying campaign to protect the rights of persons with disabilities for German Jordanian University students in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) and under the supervision of the Arab Women Organization in Jordan - Arab Women Organization of Jordan - AWO.

This training is part of the "Project to Promote the Inclusion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, especially Women and Young Women, to Achieve Gender Equality." The project aims to encourage the employment of persons with disabilities in both the private and public sectors by Article 25 of the Persons with Disabilities Law No. 20 of the year 2017, which requires that 5% of employees in institutions be persons with disabilities."

The trainer, Mr. Talal Alimat, presented the training and focused on explaining the concepts of gaining support and how to build and manage advocacy campaigns by stakeholders.

Through practical application and an interactive method, the students designed campaigns to gain support. They learned about building goals and the importance of community mobilization to reach decision-makers and make the campaign successful.

It is noteworthy that this project comes within the regional program: Feminism for economic rights #FemPawer.
