The University Champions League series, organized by Karrar Group, officially launched at the German Jordanian University (GJU) in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) and the Student Council at GJU. This event marked the first in a series of eight tournaments to be hosted across various Jordanian universities, culminating in a grand finale featuring the top teams from each university.
The event drew significant attention, with over 300 students attending to watch the thrilling competitions involving 32 participants.
Student Walid Abu Sariya won the first place with a cash prize of 250 JD. Yazan Mohammad Seifan secured second place, winning 150 JD, while Ali Abu Alsaman and Mohammad Khalifat shared third place, each receiving 50 JD.
Prizes were sponsored by Karrar Platform, with additional support from partners such as Astrolabe Café, which provided hospitality, and Manga Apparel Printing Company.
Dr. Thelal Oweis, Dean of Student Affairs, praised the event as a successful model for encouraging university students and nurturing their talents in eSports. She expressed her delight that GJU served as the Launchpad for this exciting series.
