The GJU students Yousef Al-Zoubi and Abdullah Al-Mousa from the Civil Engineering Department, and Nadine Al-Ayyash from the Logistic Sciences Department/ Sustainability Club won third place in the 2023 climate change competition launched by the Jordanian Green Building Council in cooperation with the French Embassy in Jordan, the Jordanian French Institute with the support of Orange.

This year, the competition focused on three main challenges: energy, urban planning, and water management through nature-based solutions. The " GreenChat " project aimed to create a social media platform to achieve sustainability in various fields and local businesses.

The competition’s importance lies in encouraging and enabling young talents to create effective innovation to overcome the most important environmental challenges, especially climate challenges and their accompanying negative impacts.
